Graphic Design

Hello, I’m Wilhelm.

A Senior Graphic Designer who bridges brand, information, and user experience design. I create visual systems, illustrations, and communication frameworks that help people navigate complex information and make confident decisions.

Ontario College Application Service

For the past 16 years, I have designed for OCAS, the organization that supports Ontario’s public college system. Their mandate is to create meaningful connections between colleges and the learners they serve through digital products, services, and communication experiences.

During that time, I contributed to a wide range of initiatives spanning visual communication, branding, illustration, marketing campaigns, information design, and digital experiences. My work included partner websites and microsites, corporate websites, social media campaigns, reports, organizational communications, brand development, and supporting assets used across the Ontario college ecosystem.

Working across such a broad range of projects required balancing user needs, business objectives, accessibility standards, and brand consistency while communicating complex information to diverse audiences.

Branding

For more than 20 years, I have developed brands, logos, iconography, and visual language systems that help organizations communicate clearly and consistently. My work extends beyond individual marks, focusing on the creation of scalable design frameworks that support marketing, digital experiences, communications, and long-term brand growth.

Whether building a brand from the ground up or evolving an established identity, I strive to create systems that are recognizable, flexible, and capable of adapting across a wide range of channels and audiences.

College Trades Website

St. Lawrence College approached OCAS after a successful microsite engagement and invited us to participate in the proposal process for a complete redesign of its public website.

As the sole designer on the project, I worked alongside Product, Content, and Development teams to create a digital experience that reflected the College’s brand, improved access to information, and supported the needs of prospective and current students.

Through stakeholder discovery, information architecture, visual design, and close collaboration across disciplines, the project transformed the College’s digital presence and ultimately helped establish a dedicated website services line of business within OCAS.

Colleges Ontario

As the advocacy voice for Ontario’s 24 public colleges, Colleges Ontario required a modern digital presence capable of communicating research, policy, events, and sector news to government, media, stakeholders, and the public.

As lead designer, I worked alongside Product, Content, and Development teams to create a website that balanced a large volume of information with a clear and accessible user experience. The project focused on improving content organization, navigation, and visual hierarchy while strengthening the organization’s digital presence.

The success of previous work completed for Ontario Colleges and OCAS led to the opportunity to design this project, continuing a growing relationship within Ontario’s post-secondary education sector.

College Employer Council

The College Employer Council supports Ontario’s public colleges through labour relations, research, collective bargaining, and sector-wide services. The organization required both a new visual identity and a modern website to better communicate its role and resources.

As lead designer, I was responsible for creating the brand and website experience. The logo was inspired by interconnected chain links, symbolizing collaboration and the relationships that connect Ontario’s colleges. The website extended that visual identity through a professional, accessible, and content-focused design.

The completed project provided the organization with a cohesive public presence while supporting communication with member institutions and stakeholders across the province.

OCAS

For more than five decades, OCAS has supported Ontario’s public colleges through application services, technology solutions, data services, and student support initiatives. As the organization continued to evolve, it required a corporate website that better reflected the breadth of its products, services, and partnerships.

As the sole designer on the project, I worked alongside Product, Content, and Development teams to redesign the organization’s public-facing website. The project focused on improving information architecture, audience pathways, and content discoverability while creating a modern experience aligned with the OCAS brand.

The resulting website provided a scalable foundation for communicating with students, colleges, guidance counsellors, partners, and stakeholders across Ontario’s post-secondary education sector.
